Visual Studio Team System question

I am looking for a solution that will help me with the following
problem.  I have a small Microsoft software development team (4 - 7
people).  We are not all at the same physical location.  We build
ASP.NET and Win Form applications with SQL Server back end databases.
We also have team members that are not necessarily software developers
(technical writers, testers, reviewers, and clients).  Some of these
team members will definitely be from different companies (clients,
consultants).  Is there one product out there that will let me create a
nice project web site and also maintain the source code?  At first I
was looking at SharePoint.  SharePoint seemed like a nice way to set up
a team web site for group collaboration - sharing documents, calendar,
etc. - basically the project management side of things.  But Visual
Studio Team System seems like it is geared more for a group of software
developers for sharing code, etc.  Will VSTS do both and let me set up
a nice project web site?  Or am I misunderstanding what VSTS can do?

Thanks,
Corey

Yes, Visual Studio Team System will do what you want. If you use it in
conjunction with Source Control, such as Visual SourceSafe, you can
micro-manage permissions and configure check-in/check-out to a great extent.

Thanks.  Will I also be able to create a team web site that will allow
non-programmers to upload and download documents and maintain a team
calendar, etc.?  Is that also something that Visual Studio Team System
can do?

Thanks,
Corey

A lot depends on your specific requirements. You may need to use SharePoint
in conjunction with Visual Studio Team System. Here is all the product
information for Visual Studio Team System:

does good nationwide training on VS Team System? Is there a good
company/outfit that does this to your knowledge...

...thanks in advance (sorry to deviate from topic)
