I had my online vs.net docs on my c: drive and have to delete the folder to
free up some space.  Ive got the space on another partition, but dont know
how to tell vs to look elsewhere.  Is this perhaps just a registry tweak, or
do I have to re-load them from the distribution cd, or ????
Any help is appreciated.

You should just be able to remove the MSDN installation and reinstall it
somewhere else; IIRC it asks for an installation path?
