Can anybody help with the differences between these two versions?

I was aware of this comparison, but in simple words and from experience what
does it mean......

That question's too broad for me to answer.  As a rule of thumb, if you
don't know why you'd need the Professional version, then you don't need the
Professional version...

Why not start out with the free one, and master that first?
