I asked this question about a week ago and received no response, so
I'm trying again with more information.

I discovered an icon displayed in Visual Studio .NET in a downloaded
example program that I have never seen before. I have no idea what it
is or what it means.

The icon is in the Margin Indicator Bar (where breakpoints are
displayed) and is not documented at MSDN.
marginwidgets.asp
)

In my previous message, I simply described what the icon looked like.
Since this might be hard for people to visualize, I created a
screenshot of the icon this time. Here it is:

Does anyone know what this is?

It's a Task List Shortcut.  Adding one of these markers to a line makes a
shortcut to this line in the Task List.  If you double click on the shortcut
in the task list, the cursor jumps to this line in your code.

To make a Task List Shortcut, click the Edit Menu, Bookmarks, Add Task List
Shortcut.  To remove one, Edit->Bookmarks->Remove Task List Shortcut. Also,
Ctrl+K followed by Ctrl+H toggles it on or off.

Thanks! But it still doesn't respond to any mouse clicks. As I said,
this was in a downloaded example file for a book. I checked the Task
List window for this project and there are no tasks. I *think* that
the author included part, but not all, of the the project in the
download. And now that the icon is there, you can't do anything with
it or get rid of it.
