Hi,

Can anyone advise as to whether Visual Studio creates decent html?

Does it conform to the standards from the w3c? Does the html coming out of
it work in other browsers?

I've made a few pages and have been getting odd layout problems, which is
really annoying me. I'm not good enough to make html on my own. I rely on
visual tools like VS and Dreamweaver.

Another thing I've noticed is that VS doesnt put attributes in quotes
whereas dreamweaver does. Is this another case of microsoft trying to push
the other browsers out of the market by making up its own stupid syntax for
an already standardised langauge?

Thanks to anyone who can help

Simon

No.  It actually _modifises_ standard-conforming html to be
non-standard-conforming, when you use the design view.  In particular it
replaces html entitites with Windows only characters, and other sh.t.

No.

Sometimes.

Don't confuse what could be just incompetence and stupidity with evil
intentions  --  the reasons why are not clear.
