Just recently my Studio .net has started behaving funny... I press a Key

Any reason why?

Thanks

It's Microsoft software running in a Microsoft OS.

Microsoft has _always_ had problems with ... uh ... everything.

Consider the Windows command interpreter.  It doesn't work with
national characters out of the box.  To make it work you have to fiddle
with largely undocumented settings in the registry.
