Well, I suppose it's standard procedure to ask for the steps to
reproduce a problem. Unfortunately, if I knew how to reproduce the
problem I could also fix the problem.
Fortunately, installing Norton AntiVirus 2004 and running a complete
system sweep took care of the problem I was having - my system was
infected with the W32.Swen.A@mm virus. This virus also corrupted NAV
2003 along the way. Very bad.

have reviewed your post and to be completely honest, I think your best bet
here will be to call into the support team for further assistance. This is
going to most likely be a configuration issue or just plain old database
corruption and will require more time to properly troubleshoot then we have
here on the newsgroups.
