Hi all,

I installed VSS 6.0d in Shared Database Server mode on a
Windows 2000 Server with VS.NET 2003. Trying to open VSS
or VSS Admin I get the error message "The file
VSS\data\um.dat is corrupted". I tested the installation
on my Windows 2000 Professional client and it worked fine.
What must I do to run VSS on the server?

Thanks for help,
Christian

There shouldn't be anything special about running it on the server vs. any
other computer. Are you trying to run VSS on a new installation on the
server or from a client to the server?
