What version control system does MS use for Windows & Office?

I posted this question a week ago or so, and it appears to
have disappeared. I can't find it in the listing or in the
Search.

I've heard that VSS is unstable for large development
efforts and was curious what MS used for Windows and Office
(and even other software).
