Dears,

In Visual Source Safe Administrator tool, sometimes if I
want to get Rights Assignments for one user (user name is
bigger than 8 characters), I get this error "File or
Project not found".
Can you help me about this problem?

Regards,
Ramin

Hi Ramin,
Sounds like you may have database corruption ( usually when you receive
this error trying to view/apply rights for a user it indicates a deleted
item has become corrupted and needs to be purged. Note the project you are
trying to assign rights to, then go into the SourceSafe explorer, right
click on the project and choose properties. Next, check the deleted items
tab - purge anything that is there.

If that does not work, you may try the sspurge utility for recursively
purging your deleted items from the database. I posted the utility
yesterday for another customer.

Lastly, if neither of those work and analyze fails to fix the problem, I
would encourage you to call Microsoft Product Support for assistance. 800
