Hi
Im running on Vista business, both VS2005 and VS2008 running with
administrator permissions.
My visual studio 2005 works fine at connecting and retrieving my projects
across the internet.
Visual studio 2008 doesnt.
I have it set up to use the internet version addin.
I can get through to VSS on my remote network if I say I want to open a web
project. It lists everything fine.
If I just try to open a project/solution, I get Microsoft Visual Sourcesafe
listed amongst projects/documents/desktop etc etc in left hand pane. Right
hand pane is empty. I right click on the MVSS icon and select explore. This
opens a folder dialog which isnt very clear where the base folder node is
but has Microsoft Visual Sourcesafe in title bar, right hand pane shows "Add
sourcesafe database" and "xxxxxmysourcesafe on xxxxmyserver" without any
domain/IP address details. But it IS listed there. There's no way to select
these.
So, how on earth do I open an internet desktop sourcesafe project?
Is this a bug. If so, where can I report this?
many thanks
Claire

I fixed the VS 2008 error by installing the patch for VS 2005 at
