Hi!

We have had some troubles with our database after a remote user experieinced
a timeout error over the network.  While we have been able to figure out how
to prevent future errors of this type from the network, we are still working
on fixing the database.

I keep getting the same error for one of the database files:
Here is the error:
Minor inconsistencies were found in the header record for '' (dnoaaaaa).
The file 's:\ms-vss\data\d\dnoaaaaa' appears to be corrupt.  Unable to read
the format or header.

I have just started running V6.0c of Analyze. Using this version of Analyze
does not fix the problem.  I dont have a backup of the database.  Is there
anyway around this issue?  I can possibly get a version of this file from our
Network Admin.  But, it may be a few days out of date.

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Thanx!

Pete

Hi Pete,

I'd try this:
- make sure you pass in the "-f" flag when you run analyze, and make sure
you run analyze in fix mode on the right database
It sound a bit weird that analyze 6.0c cannot fix a corrupted file...
- upgrade to VSS 6.0d by installing VisualStudio 6.0 SP6
- call product support (PSS) and they should be able to help fix your
database
