Hi!

I would like to start using the $Log:$ keyword in VSS for .cpp/.h files but
the VSS administrator and other managers are concerned that the new lines
added to each file will substantially increase the size of the already large
(2GB) VSS DB.  The VSS admin runs analyze nightly/weekly and is concerned the
DB will grow too fast with the use of this keyword.  Has anyone had any
issues with using the $Log:$ keyword and a huge DB?  Does anyone know the
impact that the use of the $Log: $ keyword has on a VSS DB?

I know how to enable the keyword expansions, so I don't need this information.

Thanks!
Sarah

It probably depends on how big your check in comments are in relation to the
actual file changes. Usually more code is changed than the comment itself.
Adding the $Log:$ keyword wont' get you all of the old version information
in the file, only new checkins will appear.
