It made me really frustrated:

I clicked Show Differences menu bar on a .xsd file in VSS 6.0, and VSS 6.0
had a message box, saying Binary Differs. But, a .xsd file is not a binary
file!

How can I convince VSS that .xsd is a text file? Thanks.

It must be ASCII/ANSI. No Unicode or UTF encoding.
