VS2003 Toolbars Problem

I recently got a new computer and installed VS2003 on it. I develop as a
USER because our company requires group policies and LUR. While trouble
shooting a permissions problem I thought it would repair the installlation.
When I was done and went to TOOLS->CUSTOMIZE Toolbar tab I had two of every
toolbar. Also if you right clicked on the toolbar I see two choices for
every toolbar and it's a long list ;-)

I then uninstalled and re-installed VS2003 but I still have two of every
toolbar.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the extra toolbar choices?

Thanks
Bob

Hi Bob

Would you please tell us how do you uninstalled and re-installed your
VS2003, have you just choose the re-installation and repair in the VS2003's
setup program?

I suggest you can remove/uninstall your VS2003 first, then delete the
following 2 directories if they existed in your machine:

Visual Studio 2003 installed directory(e.g. C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Visual Studio .NET 2003)
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Microsoft\VisualStudio\7.1

Then perform a brand new installation of VS2003.

Thanks!

Best regards,

Gary Chang

Gary,
Sorry for the delay but I was enjoying a relaxing Thanksgiving break....

The suggestions in your post fixed the problem. You asked the question "
Would you please tell us how do you uninstalled and re-installed your
VS2003, have you just choose the re-installation and repair in the VS2003's
setup program?"

The answer is I tried repairing the installation at least once. I then
uninstalled and re-installed.
