My Visual Studio 2003 Enterprise, on XP Prof. has stopped working. Trying to
repair the installation has no effect. Keys mentioned in KB don't exist and
I haven't been installing beta software outside of a Virtual Machine.
Please help.

What happens when you try to launch? Do you see the splash screen and then
it exits, or nothing at all? Have you checked the eventlog for anything
unusual? You've tried repairing, but have you tried uninstalling and
reinstalling? Is your copy a demo and time-limited?
Regards,
Richard

I see the splash screen, the empty environment, and a Dialog Box on top with
the message to run setup.
This is a fully licensed MSDN subscription version of the software that has
run fine for 1.5 years or so.
I have tried the repair route for both .net framework and for the VS 2003.
I have not uninstalled/reinstalled. It looks like some "patch" broke my
installation, sometime over the summer. This is on my laptop, on which I run
VS only occasionally.
