Hi there,

Wondering if anyone has come across the same problem as myself. When i
installed VS.Net 2005 i had firefox as my main browser. When debugging is
lauches Firefox but i want to use IE.

So I changed IE back to my default browser. It still used Firefox. So I
uninstalled Firefox. Now when pressing F5 I get a message/alert from VStudio
that Firefox.exe cannot be found.

I have tried looking in the Registery and deleted all reference to Firefox
and well and looking at all the settings in Vs 2005. Nothing i do seems to
correct this problem. I have even gone as removing VS 2005 from my system
twice. Once deleteing all reg values and remain files left on the system.
but when i reinstall it still keeps asking me for Firefox.

Any help will be much appreciated, I am close to burning my PC in order to
please the gods.

Many thanks
Brett

Hi Brett,
Since your debugging requires IE, I assume you were debugging a website. If yes, I suggest you try following steps to
change the browser for debugging.
1> right click on your website project
2> select "Browser with..."
3> select IE and click "Set as Default" button
Then if you are debugging the website, you will have IE launched.

In future, please post qustions in this nature to vsnet.ide for proper and quick help.

Thanks,
Rhett Gong [MSFT]
