Hello,
I have an odd situation. When I have one of our products installed and
try to install Whidbey Beta 2, the following errors occur...
[06/03/05,15:49:48] setup.exe: [2] ISetupModule::SetManager() failed in
ISetupManager::LoadSetupObjectGuid() : vs_setup.dll
[06/03/05,15:49:49] setup.exe: [2] CSetupManager::LoadSetupObjectname() -
Failed in call to LoadSetupObjectGuid() for strName: in file: vs_setup.dll
[06/03/05,15:49:49] setup.exe: [0] LoadComponent(), LoadSetupObjectName

[06/03/05,15:49:50] setup.exe: [0] LoadComponent failed in

When I uninstall our product, I can install Whidbey fine. Any ideas?
Duplicate GUID??
TIA

Very Intersting! Can you provide me with a filemon and regmon log of the
install with your product installed?
I normally only see this when a key has been left behind in the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\MICROSOFT INTEGRATION.
However, I would like to see what is happening with the beta install.
Cheers,

Hi Tim,
Thank you for the quick reply. I have logs from Regmon and Filemon
filtered on "setup.exe" which is the process of the install. How do I get
them to you?
Thanks,
Scott
