VS 2003 install problem ( Error 1335 ) !!!!!!!

Hi,

I have some problem when i install VS 2003 in windows xp sp2,
i get the error message "Error 1335 file 'xxxx.msm' can not uncompress, may
be network problem, CD Rom problem",
i tried to copy the CD to hard disk and disable anti-virus software, but i
get same problem.

please help !
how can i do !

Ken,

Great Question!

In this case, we normally see this type of problem when there is a file
mismatch or file corruption in the cabinet.dll. I would verify that the
versions are the same in the %windir%\system32\dllcache and
%windir%\system32.

You can delete the cabinet.dll from the system32 and refresh to get the
copy from dllcache.
