I am getting what appears to be the same error. My full error text is:
Package 'Visual Studio Explorers and Designers Package' has failed to load
properly (guid={....}). Please contact your vendor for assistance.
Application restart is recommended, due to possible environment corruption.
Would you like to disable loading this package in the future? You may use
'devenv /resetskippkgs' to re-enable package loading.

Any help you could offer would be appreciated.

Hi,
I just installed Visual Studio 2005 for the second time. Previously I
had VS 2003 installed and installed 2005 next to it. I got the same
error message as mentioned earlier in this thread. Then I uninstalled
all VS versions and frameworks before installing VS 2005 again.
Unfortunately I keep getting the same error. Full error text is:
Package 'Visual Studio Explorers and Designers Package' has failed to
load
properly (guid={....}). Please contact your vendor for assistance.
Application restart is recommended, due to possible environment
corruption.
Would you like to disable loading this package in the future? You may
use
'devenv /resetskippkgs' to re-enable package loading.
Yes / No
Did anyone already find out how to fix this bugger.
Regards,
Joost
