Due to a disk failure recently, I lost the .iso for the most recent CTP
release of Dev Studio 2005.  I now want to install VS 2005 beta 2, but when
I try to deinstall the CTP release, it asks me for the original media, and
won't uninstall without it.

The CTP .iso image has been removed from the MSDN subscribers site, so I
can't re-download it. I've mailed support to ask them how to resolve this,
but I've not received any help.  Does anyone know how to manually uninstall
the CTP release, or should I just cut my losses and reinstall Windows?

Thanks for any help.

Ben.

Yes, if we deleted the ctp image. it will be impossible to remove its
components elegantly.

If you did not want to reinstall system and want to have the ctp remove,
you may try remove it manually by unregister components from registery and
deleted the files after unregisteration. This may not remove it completely,
but so far as I know, it should not affect the beta2 after beta2 is
completely installed.

Thanks and regards,
