Hi,
I set up the trial and have been playing with it, but now I'm trying to
connect to our external database to see what I can do with that.  I can't get
it set up at all.  I have an alias set up in Enterprise Manager, but VS.Net
doesn't see that Alias.  Also, when I just try to add the server in the
"Server Explorer" by using the IP number (IP_xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx format) it tells
me that connections to external domains are not supported.  Is this ONLY in
the trial version?  Is it supported in the full version?  Is this why I can't
get connected, no matter what I do, to our external database?  Thanks.

I think I had similar problems when I tried to connect to external databases
in the Standard version. Maybe there are similar limitation in the trial
version as well. I have Vs.NET Professional now and I have no problem
connectiong to db servers.
