VS 6 Setup help

When I try to install VS6, setup.exe gives an exception error 0xc0000005,
and does not run. No other setup programs cause this, only VS6. Can Anyone
lead me in the right direction?

I should add I am operating XP Pro SP2, I could get setup running in
compatibility mode for 98. Weird.

How long do you get in the installation?
I would suggest you to contact Microsoft Support Services with this problem.
