Can you bypass the prerequisites check when you install Visual Studio .NET
2003? If so how?

Since I have installed Windows XP SP2, the prerequisites check stops the
install saying I don't have the correct version of IIS installed. It is the
same version that was installed when I installed it the first time on my old
laptop.

To bypass the pre-req check try the following:
From the setup drive add the following string NO_BSLN_CHECK
for example if your cd drive is D:

click START the choose RUN and type the following:

D:\setup\setup.exe NO_BSLN_CHECK

Good luck..
