Visual Studio 6.0-Installation Problem ( SQLInstallManager Failed)

Hi
I am trying to Install Visual Studio 6.0 on Windows XP . After starting the
setup wizard, it tries to search for the installed components in the first
step. That time an error comes " ODBC's SQLInstallManager Failed"
If I click "Ok" and continued, the instllation will not be completed.
Can any one please help me how to takce of this problem.

I've been trying to get visual studio installed on my laptop for awhile now
and i also have the same error message. I've tried looking for everywhere in
Microsofts website to see if I could find anything on it but couldn't.
