This is easier said than done. When I am confronted with messages that say
there are issues with the product relasting to XP before I even start to
install, I am a little wary. Am I correct in assuming that you're saying I
must have SP6 for VS 6.0 installed prior to installing VS 6.0? My XP is on
SP2. Where is SP6 available?

If you are getting messages about issues installing VS 6.0 on XP, post the
messages. You get VS 6.0 SP6 from here:

What errors are you getting?
SP6 is for VS 6.0, SP2 is for XP.
The only error I got when installing was referencing MSJVM with J++ and
InterDev - which I installed afterwards (version 3505 I think), before
installing SP6 for VS 6.0, then I upgraded 3505 to 3510.
P.S. Sorry for the late response - I've been moving the past week and just
got the PC set back up and connected to the net.
