When F1 is pressed in VS 6.0, it very often jumps to a function description
for Windows CE.
This is really annoying, since I hardly work programming CE.

How to stop this dumb feature?

Hi Rainman,

Thank you for your post!

From your description, I understand that when you pressing "F1" in Visual
Studio 6.0, Visual Studio very often jumps to a function description for
Windows CE. You would like to know how to stop this dumb feature.

First, I would like to know whether you would like to see MSDN for Visual
Studio 6.0 directly when pressing "F1". If so, please reinstall MSDN for
Visual Studio 6.0 to see whether this helps. If possible, please also let
me know the version of your MSDN to let me check the problem.

If you do not install MSDN for Visual Studio 6.0 and you do not want to
navigate to SDK for Windows CE, you have to uninstall SDK for Windows CE to
fix this problem when you determine that you hardly work programming CE.

I hope the information above is helpfully to you. Thank you for choosing
Microsoft!

Regards,

Wendy Dong
