Hi,

I have MSVS .NET installed on my machine. Now, I need to install MSVS 6 due
to a new project that I'm assigned to which requires the use of MSVS 6.0.

First, I got error this error: javasign.dll was unable to register itself
with the system registry.

Then, I was prompted "Do you want to overwrite the JIT settings?".
Immediately after I hit NO, I was prompted that <Setup was unable to complete
the installation successfully> and then the setup exited.

Any ideas? Please help me.
Thank you very much in advance.

regards,
Sean

Sean,

First thing I would do here, is to manually register the javasign.dll and
monitor it with Regmon to see if there is any permission issues with
registering the file.  If not, you should be able to rename the DLL and
then reinstall to get rid of the error message.

Clicking no on the JIT settings, is correct with VSNet installed first.

You may also try installing while booted into safe mode.
