hi, iam trying to install VISUAL STDIO 6.0 in windows xp.it is giving error report like this couldn't create C:\...\PROGRAMME FILES\VISUAL STDIO\COMMON\...\REPOSITORY directory? what is this.dont say install service pack.I already installed VS 6.0without any service pack .But this time my system is giving this error? For installing VS.NET i uninstalled the VS 6.0.After installing .NET it is giving this error.I also tried by uninstalling VS.NET but same error report. does anyone knows this problem?.please reply me.my project is being delayed. thanking u sir yln I'm am am having a similar issue. What is the trick to installing VS6 on a windows XP SP1 machine... I have tried both the orginal CD version and the current download version and neither will install.
