I recently got a dual opteron system.
Using all the same software I was using on an intel system, i.e., Win
XP Pro w/ SP2, etc., I cannot now get vstudio to work right. It
installs fine, and I haven't actually tried any projects yet, but all
I have to do is select the 'Online Resources' tab or the 'My Profile'
tab on the Start Page and vstudio immediately, silently exits.
Of course I can't say this is an opteron issue, but as not all that
much else has changed since everything worked fine on the old intel
... ? Anyway, I'm a little bit at a loss.
Due to illness, I've not been using vstudio for a little while, nor
have I kept up with what's going on, so please forgive if this is an
old issue.
Any help/advice appreciated.

By the way, it's even worse than I thought.
I tried to create a new project shortly after the previous post and
vstudio immediately and silently exits when I do that, too.
Two times installed now without errors, but same results.
What gives? Anyone?

Don't know if this matters, but when I discovered these problems and
went to uninstall vstudio, I at first got dialogues in spanish even
though should have been english.
Don't know if that's related or not, but I saw a post about this
problem in the general group.
Anyway, I eventually got english, I think by running setup from the
CD, but I don't exactly remember at this point. (It's late here and
been a long day.)
Since no one has responeded yet, I thought I'd go ahead and provide
the above info in case there is any relevance to the other troubles
mentioned.
Please help me if you can. And thanks in advance.
