I just installed Microsoft Visual Basic .NET Version 7.0.9466 and when I run "check for updates" I get "Visual Studio .NET setup encountered errors while attempting to download required files. Check your Web Browser configuration settings and your connection hardware, and then try again." The Microsoft Knowledge base article 836454 states that there is a hotfix. Can you please advise? Even disabling McAfee Firewall Plus (v5.0 came with Virus Scan 8) I get this error I just checked the Microsoft Site, and realised this is going to cost me one of my two support contacts, I feel this is a bit harsh since it does not seem to be my fault, and the two support contacts might be used better elsewhere.
