Documentation Issue

Hi

I've just installed VS .NET 2003 on my new PC and am having some trouble
with the documentation. I have installed the October 2003 documentation
update. I'm using XP Pro SP1.

When I click on some topics in the contents it asks me to insert the
documentation CD. I didn't have this problem on my old machine - everything
was on the hard drive.

How can I rectify this?

Thanks.

Ben.

Ben,

This is a great question.  We have seen issues like this, and normally have
resolved them through a simple repair of the MSDN Library.  You can try the
following:

 1. Repair the MSDN Library
 2. Reinstall through Add/Remove Features and ensure that all is checked
 3. Uninstall and then Install again, and making sure that every item is
checked.

HTH.

Thanks Tim,

I had a look and the add/remote features and most of the library was
configured to run from CD (well duh!). I feel pretty stupid not checking
that but I don't remember having to change that on my old machine which is
why I didn't.

Anyway, it's all good now.

Thanks for you help.

Ben.
