Hi,
Visual Studio Enterprise Architect 2003, Special Upgrade for for version
2002 customers.
I had to replace the hard drive on my laptop, and when reinstalling VS
Enterprise Architect 2003 it would not accept the Product Key as being
valid. I tried the Key from the 2002 version, it accepted that and the
install completed successfully.
When I start up Visual Studio, I get an error message that states that the
Product Key is missing or invalid. I click OK, the installer briefly fires
up, and then shuts down.
What do I need to do to fix this?
Do I need to have the 2002 version installed first to use the 2003 version?
Thanks,
Bob Lehmann

Bob,
I do not believe that you have to have the Visual Studio .Net 2002 loaded
on the machine prior to the installation of the special upgrade. You may
try contacting Microsoft Product Support on the issue. Of course, if you
had it working before the hard drive replacement, I would install the
Visual Studio .Net 2002 on the machine and then install the special upgrade.
HTH!

I ended up uninstalling the upgrade, installing 2002, then reinstalling the
upgrade. Kinda silly, but it works now.
