I have a Win2K Pro system configured w/ a very small C: driver and
a very large D: drive. So I want to install most if not all of the
VS.NET 2003 dev tools, et al in the d:\Program Files directory???
But there seems to be no way to set the install dir to anything
but the default in the setup. I am using the network based
install and the "local path" is shown but is not editable with
the sole exception of the .NET Framework SDK? Seems extemely
limited for no apparent reason. Is there a hack or workaroung to
get this to install without reconfiguring my entire system?

Thanks,

-Scott

Read the release notes html.  Look for the fine-print
about having msdn (docs) already installed, and what
happens if you do.
