Hi,

I'm a newbie programmer trying to add a data access component in VB 6 Pro. When I double-click the data component icon on the toolbox, I get the error message "Could not find Data Access Library. Cannot Create Reference" The help button says my registry settings may be incorrect.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the program, and have installed service pack 6.Should I try a clean install, and if so, how do I do that. The MSDN CD doesn't have an obvious link to that.

Any help would be appreciated.

Matt

Hi,

I suggest you apply the latest Service Packs for Windows and Visual Basic

Also, update MDAC: www.microsoft.com/dat
