Problem starting Visual Studio .Net 2003

Hi, I am using Windows 2003 Server (Spanish) and Visual
Studio .Net 2003 (English).

Each time I start Visual Studio, the Windows Installer
starts automatically, trying to install something...

I have managed to enable Windows Installer logging via the
Registry, and looks like Visual Studio tries to install its
own .Net Framework in English, but of course the Spanish
Framework was installed by the operating system so, without
error or messages, the Installer closes and Visual Studio
welcomes you.

It happens in every Visual Studio start, and it's a little
annoying, since it takes about 30 seconds...

Any idea out there?

Hi Fidel,

Can you forward the verbose log?

The entire log is 6MB long, too much for a message, and is
200KB compressed, but I don't see any way to make
attachments there...

Hi Fidel,

Per our email thread, we were able to resolve the issue by renaming the
mso.dll file and then opening Microsoft Visual Studio .Net again.  It
repaired it and then the problem was gone and the issue resolved.

Cheers,
