Can someone *please* tell me how to disable those incredibly annoying sound effects in MSVS6?!?!  Thanks!

Open Control Panel->Sounds then select the Sounds tab.  Look for Microsoft
Development Environment.

Thanks for the tip Frank.  But all the sound entries already say (none).  Possibly a Registry issue?

Here is the obnoxious way to do that.  Perhaps there's a non-obnoxious way
(less clicking), but I don't know it.

Open Windows | Control Panel | Sounds
Set all the sounds to "none" in all the following groups:
Microsoft Development Environment
Microsoft Developer
Microsoft Visual Studio Macros

Don't ask me why there's a section called "Microsoft Developer."  I'm a
developer, but I certainly wouldn't call myself a "Microsoft" developer.
