After you start VS2008 for the first time, it asks which environment you wish
you use as default (from the installed choices), at which point it sets
various IDE configuration settings to allow you quick access to functions
pertaining to your chosen default.

However, I cannot find a way to change that selected default. Does anyone
know where this is located? It's not under Tools | Options | Environment.

No, it's under Tools | Import and Export Settings, then choose the Reset All
Settings option.
