VS2005 installation corrupted

My VS2005 installtion is corrupted (missing lib errors, random shut
downs) yet I cannot fix it.

Tried

1) uninstall: error: cannot determine install order
2) add/remove features: got to 99% and got stuck indefinitely.

how can I manually uninstall it so I can install it again. Thanks
