I've just bought a copy of Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise edition from
eBay.  It was advertised as an 'Authentic' copy but what has turned up
is a CDR.

However, included with the disc is an original Microsoft COA (metallic
interwoven strip intact) but I'm suspicious that it probably isn't a COA
for Visual Studio - How can I tell?

There's no CD Key and the Product ID on the COA is:

01797-OEM-0018471-xxxxx

Does this look correct?  Did the OEM version of VS 6.0 come with a COA?

Pointers to a more appropriate newsgroup welcome if this isn't the
correct place to ask.

Thanks,

Peter
