Hi,
Wow, just remembered I had gotten this werid error during the VS2005 beta....
Was hoping it was fixed in RTM and sadly I see it is not...
Anyhow, the issue is with Windows TEMP and TMP Environment Vaariables.
The default directories in Windows XP always have given me problems....
So I changed both to "%systemdrive%\temp" and no more problem, VS2005
installs fine on the first try...
Take Care,
Will
