VS2005 Setup Fails on VISTA

Any help would be appreciated. Trying to install visual studio 2005
pro on vista ultimate fails with: "Required Prerequisites: Missing
Windows XP service pack 2" setup quits.

I don't believe installing VS 2005 on Vista is supported yet.

Is "sp1 for vista" (final version) expected to be released in the next few
weeks?
