Hello,
I was trying to use some asp.net features that seemed to really, really
want SQL Server Express to be installed... So, since I had not installed it
originally, I ran the Visual Studio 2005 change/remove from Add or Remove
programs... And selected the SQL Server 2005 checkbox and clicked next,
etc.
After a while, a message box pops up titled Insert Disk that says "Setup is
looking for file instpia11.exe. Please insert Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Team Edition for Software Developers - ENU disk [lastdisk] now."
Well.. It's a DVD, and there's only one of them, and it was already
inserted (it had asked for it right from the get-go) so.. I did a search,
and found instipia11.exe on the DVD in vs\wcu - so I browsed to that
directory with the browse button on that dialog box and clicked ok, but I
just got another dialog saying "The chosen path is invalid. Choos OK to
select a different folder."(!)
What the heck? -- I don't konw what to do now.. If I select cancel, it
says "are you sure you want to cancel setup?" - Well, of course I don't..
I googled for it, but only found reference to Beta 2 - and then only with
the installation media apparently being on multiple disks, saying that it
may ask for one disk, but needs another.. Obviously that doesn't help me..
As I say.. There IS only 1! ;)
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated!
Cheers
- Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Thank you posting!
I noticed you also posted a same issue in our vsnet.setup newsgroup, which
I have already replied in that newsgroup. Would you please check and follow
up it there?
Thanks for your understanding!
Best regards,
Gary Chang

Hi Gary,
Yes.. Thanks.. Sorry! -- I posted here first, and then for some reason I
thought this newsgroup wasn't in the list of supported ones, so posted in
the other one... But I see both of them are in the list... My mistake.
Thanks for your help. :)
