Delay whilst adding items to the toolbox

When I try and add a new Item to the tool box by selecting "Choose
Items..." VS 2005 appears to hang. It comes back to life after about 10
minutes, at which point I can add the new items.

If I repeat the above steps the outcome is always the same!

Once I've got them in my toolbox  there fine during the current session
however next time I run up VS 2005 there not there, is there something I
have to do to store the new Toolbox layout?

If I could do that the 10 min delay whilst adding new components isn't
such a problem!

Regards

Mike

From the description, the problem is it would take about 10 minutes to
display the "Choose Toolbox Item" dialog after you selecting "Choose
Items..." in VS2005 toolbox's context menu.

Based on my experience, it may be caused by your VS2005 IDE's toolbox
setting corrupted. I suggest you can try to reset your toolbox item (click
the 'Reset' button in the "Choose Toolbox Item" dialog). Or just delete the
.tbd files in the corresponding VS2005 setting directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0

Thanks!

Best regards,

Gary Chang
