I have a Team Foundation Server.  I am running the Build from my
workstation. I have Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Developers. I have
install Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Developers (only the test tools)
on the Team Foundation Server.

On the build menu I select 'new team build type'. Then I get the wizard. I
select my solution that have a test project with tests in the step 'select
and order solutions to build'.

I select 'Run test' in het 'select build options' step. I use the drop-down
options to specify my Test metadata file (vsmdi extension). I expected a
list with all my test but nothing appears. Any idea what might be wrong?

Hi Stratech,

Are you expecting the Test Manager window that lists all the tests you have
created? If so, please select from Test/Windows/Test Manager from the main
menu, and it will appear.

Hi Kevin,

I don't expect the Test Manager window. I expect a list with all my test so
I can select tests for my daily build.

Hi Stratech,

Thank you very much for your patience. I can reproduce this on my mahcine
and with much research, I found the problem.

The BVT metadata file must be put on the server under the TFS source
control. So when you have created the test list, you must check all the
test and Test Metadata File into source control. Since the build is a
server side action, the build process can only see source files that are on
the server.

You can check the following link for creating BVTs and checking them into
source control.

Hi Stratech,

I'd like to know if this issue has been resolved yet. Is there anything
that I can help. I'm still monitoring on it. If you have any questions,
