Vstudio 2003 Academic - install but does not start, can I disable wizard ??

As far as I know installation went fine. then a messagw pos up "Please
wait while wizard initializes ..."

blasted typing (and poor proffreading - sorry all) - thanks for any
help or hints or diections to go - I looked in the knowledge base at
Microsoft but my search terms were probably inacurate.
