Hi,
I'm running VS.NET 2003 Evaluation Version on Win2k Pro.  When I attempt to
create a new project on my web server (Win2k Server/IIS 5.0), I get the
following error:

The Web server reported the following error when attempting to create or
open the Web project located at the following URL:
'http://rockyjeeps.com/WebApplications1'. 'HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server
Error'.

Does VS.NET have to be installed on the server as well?  I've searched
technet and the MS KB and can find anything (which is very unusual in my
experience.)  What am I missing?

TIA,
Tim Black

Hi Tim

I would try these things to start with

1. Install the framework on the server
2. Add the ASPNET account to the Admin group
3 Then register the IIS, using the following command: regiis_aspnet -
