I want to install Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise Architect from
the MSDN subscription CD onto my PC running Windows 2000 Server.

My boot drive is D: and I have very little space left on it. I would
like to install instead onto the C: drive which has space to spare.
However, By the time I get as far as the Setup - Options page of the
install (next step is Install Now button) the paths of selected items
point to the D: drive and I cannot see any way to change them.

There is a Feature Properties section of this page and there is a drop
down list box (text says "Local Path") to the left of the install
path. However, it is inactive.

This must be possible. Can someone tell me how it is done.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul, You will NOT be able to change the path to install if  you have
some Apps(MSDN etc) already installed on the D: that Visual Studio .NET
2003 shared components with. You should be able to find which Apps make the
installation path unchangable on the feature option page. You will need to
uninstall those Apps in and install them with VS 2003 on the same drive.

Thanks,
Hong
