I have installed VS .net Pro version 2003, but when I go
to the Online Resources tab on the Start Page, I only get
access to some of the resources listed.

When I try to access Online Community, Headlines,
Downloads, XML Web Serveces or Web Hosting, I get the
following message:

"This feature requires that you have connected to the
internet previously or are currently online."

I am online and there is nothing wrong with my connection.

Does anybody know what could be wrong?

Regards
Peter

    Hi Peter

Sorry to hear that my previous suggestion didn't work. So, here follows some additional troubleshooting steps

1. Unplug the network cable to see if you get a different error message
2. Have you checked the language settings in the Internet Explorer?  Tools|Options and then click on the Language button. If US(English) is not in there, try additing it
3. Disconnect any network shares
4. Are you able to create Web Applications or/and Windows Applications
5. If you have more than one Physical Hard disk, disconnect the second one

Ok, let me know if any of the above worked

Hi Nick

It was the language settings.
I only had Norwegian. When I added English[US] it worked.

Thanks a lot!
