Here's one I can't find anything on...

I've had my system working for 6 months, and yesterday the help system in
VS2003 decides it's not going to display anymore data pages.  It shows
'Action Canceled' standard web page when first opened, then any subsequent
help subject comes up as a standard 'Server Not Found' web page error.  I
have tried repairs of MSDN and VS, uninstall/reinstall of VS and MSDN, tried
updating IE (I have all the updates, so this was a bit of a pain.)  Digging
through the registry... Nothing!

If anyone has anything to add, other than 'Format c:', I'd love to hear it.

The even more amusing thing is if I go to 'Help on Help' it doesn't display
anything in the IE windows it contains.. they both show 'Action Canceled'
pages.

This has got me stumped!!!

Guess what... I figured this out!  Turns out I had set IE to prompt when
downloading signed ActiveX controls in the Internet Zone.  Setting this to
enable made the problem go away.  I hadn't thought this was being treated as
Internet zone... guess it was...
